Leon 5F Screw mod?

Hi all!

I would like to ask you if anyone has ever done the "screw mod" on the front fenders. With my summer sets I get some light rubbing when I hit a pothole with more than 2 people in my car etcetc. ET on my summer sets are ET35 and they are OZ-s. If anyone has done this mod, is it the same as the golf "screw mod"?

Ignoring the obvious answer of "get the right size wheels and tyres"...

Surely this is a screw "delete" and not a "mod"

Not only have I done the screw mod but also removed the little plastic arch things too and I still rub rarely (8.5*19 ET45 wheels with 245/35 tires).
I had two screws bilaterally to the center of the liner. Do you have markings on the screw(s) where you rub?
It will help if you remove them, if that's not enough you could have the fenders rolled but if not done properly you could end up with cracked paint.
