yeah how did you do that. ross i assume you are using the same vag com 704 that we all we? I think i may have to download it again as i have no description against any of bits when using long coding.

I will check it tomorrow and write it down. Im sure its in module 46, byte 1 or 2.

And yeah, the 704.1 version off the bay of pirates.

EDIT:
Think this is it:

09 (Central Electronics)

Byte 01 Bit 5 Rear Lid Remote Opening
Byte 01 Bit 6 Rear Lid Remote Opening - Release

Pretty sure the first one is already ticked, you just have to tick the second. Will check.

Also noticed you can turn off the "Cold Diagnostics" on each light unit. Meaning LED's etc hopefully wouldnt flag up as bulb out warnings.

Has anybody tested this yet? I had to fit Resistors to my Old MK4 Ibiza HID's to get them not to flag up an error light on Leon

Would be Much Simpler if we could simply just turn off the Bulb Monitoring :D Which would mean we wouldnt need to then fork out for Special Can-Bus bulbs at extra ££

I would test it myself,By removing My HID Resistors and Unticking the option for headlights but.... im working away and VCDS is at home

I tired myself with the front side lights. (I have mine loaded with a couple of normally wedge bulbs in the engine bay). I removed the bulbs and turned the feature off. No errors. Tried a few times, seemed good.

But i turned it back on and then tried with out the bulbs and it still never flagged up. A long term test may be needed. I was in a rush, so didnt give it a good going over.

May try with my HID's too.

How do you know all your wiring is correct? Did it come with a guide? Have you stripped the front doors to see how it's made up in there? If it is then perhaps something does need enabling. I'm revising for exams at the moment so can't look into it more for you but I'm sure one of the other guys can have a look at the different modules/Bytes/Bits to see if there is setting for windows...

Has anyone managed to enable the emergency brake light flash. I think this flashes the hazard lights when your ABS works?
My FR (2009 pre-FL) has done this once before and I didn't have to activate the feature. I think to trigger it you need to activate the Electronic Brake Assist.
I had a tractor turn out in front of me last year and couldn't go round it as there was something coming the other way. Slammed on the brakes and the car seemed to brake harder than I even thought possible (if felt like my eyes were going to come out of my head). Then I noticed the hazards were flashing on their own. They stopped a short while later. I've never had to stop that quickly before or since, so it's the only time I've known the hazards to come on themselves.

well im stating to get annoyed with this vag com thing now. I have downloaded and reinstalled the vag com from the post on here and still when i try to enter never every ong coding helper it simply says text file not found and so i have no description against the bits. I think the problem is that for example in my can gateway i have 9 bytes but the help files are only for cars with 8 bytes, when i just these files the labels clearly are wrong and make no sense.
I have tried to use the 802 software that came with the cabe but it just says interface not found, the cable still works with 704 though.[:@]

i officially give up now, getting a bit sick of it. I have tried the software with the cable and cant get that to work at all. I can change things using vag com 704 but most of it is post luck as the labels arent there in long coding. I am wondering if there may be a fault with my cable but we shall see

Ok heres a few things ive noted down:

Boot Release. When pressing the middle button on the key fob, it "pop's" the boot open slightly, rather than just unlocking it. Some people may not like this.
Code:
46 Central Conv
Byte 1
Bit 4 (Central Locking (Rear Lid) Softtouch (direct open/no release)
Cold Diagnosis. Not tried this out, but i assume its to do with the Bulb Out feature, which scans the car when the ignition is started.
Code:
09 Cent Elec

Byte 2
Bit 2

Byte 18
Bit 0-7

Byte 19
Bit 0-2

Reverse Light While Boot Open. Found this handy after a few journeys took B&Q when i had something long coming out the boot. Means that it will still light up even if the boot isnt closed.
Code:
09 Cent Elec
Byte 3
Bit 3

Also, for 0-60mph timing!! (Not tried this, as the battery on my laptop requires constant power to keep it going)

Go to 46 Central Conv
Select "Adv. Meas. block"
Tick "Driving Speed" in the right hand collum
Notice the Button "Acceleration" Appears, click this, and away you go.

Will have a look into the rear electric windows. Im sure i seen something along those lines.
