Leon 1P Vag-Com Cable ** Canbus OBD Diagnostics**

I still have a weird problem with the bulb cold checking, I used to have problems with my side light LED's and that's why I got my VCDS cable. I then disabled the bulb cold checking and all was good. It still shows as being disabled but these days I'm getting bulb failure messages on the MFD.

Can anyone shed any light?

Apparently they have two rear fog lamps as standard just not turned on? i would try it but im about 200 miles from my VCDS cable

Yep, tryed it and it just brought up a bulb fault as I only have 1 rear fog fitted

On my Leon the reverse light takes up the other fog light.

Cold Diagnosis. Not tried this out, but i assume its to do with the Bulb Out feature, which scans the car when the ignition is started.

Anyone know the FL equivalent of this? I have VCDS 812.4 with the labels from v90* and i get the below in these bytes

You have to be dead carefull with byte 18. VCDS not report the correct value which is usally masked by 00 on the facelift.
It seems to control how the lights operate and if you get it wrong the lights go weird.

If that your Longcode capture you could have a play and return to 9D if things dont work right.

There is a code to allow for rear Leds like in the MK6 golfs but it wont help with the front bulb check.

eg. If you enable DRLs you would have the rear lights on has well but if change byte 18 to 9C the DRLs work like UK cars and not volvos.

I've just installed Canbus compatable HID's but once or twice i've had the bulb warning light on when i've turned the engine on. The odd flashing HID too

I'll see how it get's on over the next few days

I have got the dhgate one. Delivery was good no problems with the lead and it comes with the latest version of software. The bestofferbuy includes the older software and you cant use the newer version with it.

The top one in the dhgate link should be fine.
The one in the bestofferbuy link is the older version (8.05), 10.6 beeing current.
The later needed for some of the newer control module functions and you cant just use the latest software with the older versions.

On 10.6 i have the option of "Rear Spoler Fitted" i've activated it but i don't know what it's done?

Any ideas?

I have the torrent download of Vag-Com 704 and when I reboot my computer I get a message to download the latest version. Anyone done this? will it cause me problems?
