cheers needs lowering now .... ive got some lcr springs 4 free so im gona have a go at fitting them sometime....all i can do now is hope i can get them to fit somehow

Your cars looking good. I have the 1.4S leon with the standard 15" alloys. Is there a difference in the rolling radius with the 17's? How much they set you back, ebay? Do they affect the performance or ride at all being bigger? Where you get the mudflaps - easy to fit?

honestly i dont know about the rolling radius difference
...but it hasnt made any noticable difference to the ride/performance...and yeh ebay for about 270 if i remember right, theres a couple of sets in the for sale section i think. and the mudflaps where on the car when i got it mate but probably stealers is your best bet daz

Cheers, I presume the 17" tyres are lower profile so if you were to put the 15" an 17" wheels side by side with the tyres on they would be almost the same size?
urmmm well ive still got my old 15s so ill put them side by side tomorrow and guestimate how close they are
I'm putting 18's on mine with 225-40-18 Falken 452 tires.
If your running 17" rims u need 45 profile tyres to maintain the correct rolling diameter

Yup, I'll second that, 225/45/17's will make the radius about 1mm out, which is much less than the wear between a new and old tyre.
Won't turn your car into a bone shaker, if thats what worries you.
i had 15's originally, and with 17's the ride is a little firmer, you'll notice the difference on cornering mainly.

would have had them on by now but had to find over 600 quid last month to have the underfloor gas pipework replaced in the house.... so that was best part of the wheel fund gone
