Apparently car manufacturers are fairly low down the pecking order when it comes to semiconductor’s behind phone and tablet manufacturers that have much higher qty requirements.

Lease delivery times

We have had a real yo-yo these past few weeks. First we were told it had gone into build. Then we go an update that they expect it to be on the latest ship that just docked. On the 16th we receive an email apologising saying due to parts shortages the car in fact did not leave the factory. Today we get the papers with registration and that the car will be ready for collection next week.
car is a base vz2 in block from leasing options.
I think we have ended up being a bit lucky as they are actually ahead and when we placed the order the delivery was scheduled for mid to late august.

15 June - on what leasing options classified as 'incoming stock car' We did not get a colour choice so it may have been a car someone cancelled an order on.
Hi guys, i ordered my cupra leon hatchback 1.4 240 VZ2 back about a month ago, however it appears after some back and forth the delivery to mainland UK some will be delivered at the end of October / or 1st week November 2021 however I'm beginning to think looking at a lot of comments a lot of leasing company's are just playing for time.
Finally some good news. Chatted with Cupra this morning who have confirmed my car has left production and is waiting transportation/ship. Hopefully here in about 6 weeks
Crazy! This is the exact same time I ordered mine and I also didn’t get a choice. But I’m looking at July 2022 now! Very lucky you got there!
I ordered my Formentor end of May 21 with Leasing Options. I was told there were 2 in stock. Ordered and was told delivery would be October!!! I had agreed and thought I heard wrong.

Had an email about a week ago saying about Semi Conductor shortage and that I'd have to wait for more info but delivery can take 6 weeks from shipping.
I still have a car to drive so I'm not too bad but if yours is going to be mid 2022 then I think I'll just get a used one.
I'm seeing more and more on the road which is sort of putting me off as I didn't think it would be this popular!

Looks like cupra are getting overwhelmed with people wanting to track there cars, so they've started to say please contact your dealer

.Update: Had a call this morning from NVC and delivery scheduled for next Monday 11th. That will be just under 5 months from ordering, although the car was a pipeline order.Ordered a V2 Dsg back in mid May on lease via NVC. Estimated build week was w/c 26 Jul with delivery by end of August which has obviously been delayed.
Called Cupra today and was advised that it's on the ship waiting to dock at Grimsby. It will go to the dealer in Leeds before being delivered to me which could take around 3 weeks..
Ah that's good. Hopefully you'll actually get it on the day!
Leasing Options communication has been crap. I've asked a few things and not had a reply.
I feel for you guys waiting that long! Saw a formentor in the showroom for the first time last wednesday, test drove one on Saturday morning where the salesman informed me unfortunately he'd had a cancelled order from a guy who lost his job. We bought it on Sunday. VZ1 245ps ehybrid in Desire Red, collect on Friday.

Your CUPRA Formentor comes with both a mode 2 and mode 3 charging cable, and will have a welcome pack as well. I can see your car is also currently awaiting to be assigned to a ship. The next ship is scheduled to leave on the 13 October, so if you want to see if it has been allocated I'd recommend messaging us on the 14th as this can happen on the same day and our systems don't always reflect this until after.

I ordered it at the end of May with build week 31. Ordered through Lookers Cupra Stockport and VWFS finance
