Hi guys! I oredred 1 august my car VZ2(310hp).
Starting this week, my car should start being assembled at the factory. How long do you think it will take to assemble and deliver my car?
And another question, somewhere I saw that you can track the process of assembling a car, how or where can I see it?

I got the exact same message on Friday last week, so frustrating as was hopeful would be one of the lucky ones, you had any other update?

Hey mate contact cupra and they say the car is currently getting sprayed. However they can't say when it will be complete due to the micro chip shortage. What model is yours?

So it did go into production then? Did they actually confirm that it would be fully built just now apart from waiting on the chips?

Car is in production however will not be completed. This will be the same for you as well.

Ordered my car with Lookers Cupra V2 ehybrid 204 DSG at the end of May. Told they had secured an August build slot with a September delivery. Up to now they tell me anything other than it’s delayed due to microchip shortage. Trying to get my SLI to find out more direct from Cupra. So frustrating. My Tiguan goes back end of September so need to get the new one sorted. I now have a wall charger installed and no car to plug into it!!!

Ordered a V2 Dsg back in mid May on lease via NVC. Estimated build week was w/c 26 Jul with delivery by end of August which has obviously been delayed.
Called Cupra today and was advised that it's on the ship waiting to dock at Grimsby. It will go to the dealer in Leeds before being delivered to me which could take around 3 weeks..

That sounds promising. Hopefully mine will be on the same ship, it was ordered end of May. Trying to get the SLI from the dealer but no joy yet. Hope yours arrives when they say it will

Hi Did you have the SLI reference for your car? What info did you give Cupra to get your delivery info. My dealer isn’t being very helpful and I want to speak to Cupra direct. Thanks

I asked NVC for the order number which is presumably the same as the SLI. That was all that Cupra needed to look up the details. Not sure why your dealer is being difficult?

VZ3 310, have contacted Cupra today again and received this:

"I can see your CUPRA Formentor has a confirmed build week of 36, it is still just inside the expected production window so I'd recommend dropping us a message next Monday to check for any changes. If it does come to production being unable to complete due to awaiting parts then I'm sorry to say I'd be unable to give you a time-frame for this to complete also as it's not information we have"

Just had a reply back from my dealer confirming it was on a week 31 build which is seven weeks ago. No idea where it is now though?

Ordered a Cupra Ateca VZ1 in June with Leasing Options - still no delivery date or anticipated build timescales. Trying to be patient but having no updates is a little challenging. Current lease is due back end of Oct

A family member ordered their Cupra Ateca mid April and its being delivered Wednesday.

That might give you some sort of timescale.

Be Warned Situation Going From Bad to worse…. Very disappointed… just spoke to Cupra to try and get an update on my car which was ordered on 27/05/2021. Dealer confirmed build week 31 (seven weeks ago). Cupra just informed me it’s still in the factory and should be finished next week if it’s not one of the cars affected by the semiconductor shortage I should receive it in about 6 weeks (this in itself is a nightmare as my current car goes back end of October). If is affected they have said could be 3 Months!!!! This is so disappointing as it now means I may have to cancel the order and look for another vehicle.

That’s awful for you. I was thinking of cancelling my order, but all manufacturers seem to be in the same situation. JLR are particularly affected.

Sorry to hear about your situation it doesn’t sounds great at all! Mine was hopefully going to be built this week but I no longer have a build week now. I’m really lucky that I still have my current car that I don’t owe anything on so I can just keep using it till my Formentor arrives

I’m in a similar situation. Build week 32 but been ‘waiting for parts’ for the last few weeks. I’m suspecting months rather than weeks before delivery. (Originally due the back end of next month!)

Had my heart set on a Formentor, there are other stock cars around apparently. I’ll just wait and see what happens over the next few weeks.
