leaking shock absorber

i decided to take my car to me mates garage yesterday to put it on the ramp so i could take the wheels off and clean them and paint me calipers

My mate had a look around underneath the car and discovered that the shock absorber on the passenger side is weeping!!!

the car has only done 40,000 miles surely they should last longer than that!!!!!!!!!!

Mine lasted about the same on my old LCR, just unlucky I guess.

.........still I then decided to get some coilovers, anti-rollbars and new wheels......every cloud has a silver lining

Check your tyres, my shock had pumelled (sp?) some flat spots into the tyre and I also needed a new tyre, looking closely it was like a 20p piece in places.........another £100+

Yeah we checked the tyres and they are sweet so i reakon its onli just started to weep.... and the spelling was correct lol
