Can't wait to see more and finally the results. What turbo you going for? K04 hybrid?

I am leaning towards the Turbo dynamics K04 hybrid, they say the compressor wheel can flow between 340-360bhp, i would be very supprised if i seen that but during my conversations with them, they said if i set it up right, high flow mani, DP, CAT etc.. i should see some very good results, i am hoping my WMI helps me out too.

Watch this space, i hope to have all the work done over the next month.

Thats some great kit you have there.:) how much did the rods cost once postage and duty/ vat had been considered, did delivery take long.

Hi Willy,

It cost me 341 euro delivered, which works out at about 281GBP.The customs duty was only 50euro, i asked the people in IE to only put down the valve of the goods on the packing slip as $250.

Delivery only took 5 days.

MBC install

Just installed my Forge Unos MBC, the reason i decided to install an MBC was because i was getting 1.8bar spikes and basically it was making me nervous.

Some people use this to increase boost by cranking on the Actuator, but i wanted to use it in conjunction with the N75 just to smooth out the spikes and i must say i was suspicious, i installed the device, went out and tweaked it to boost no higher than 1.6bar and it worked perfectly, boost guage did not spike over 1.6bar, so i was quite supprised how well it worked.

It bascially works when setup with the N75 by bleeding the excess boost off through a bleed hole, in my case anything above 1.6bar was bleed off.

You can use this device on its own to increase boost, but its not advised from what i read and if setup incorrectly will shorten the life of your turbo.

Really easy to install, the bottom nipple on the MBC T's into the boost line from the Charge pipe and the side nipple on the MBC T's into the connection from the N75 to the turbo actuator.

Nice little mod this, pic's below.

On another note, i got a new PCV from Forge, i can never remember Forge making one of these for the BAM 225 so when i found it on the website i was quite suprised, i could only ever find breather hoses for the LC in the past, just need to get it install now.

Rob, the updates keep getting better and better. Definately one of my favourite projects this. Nice install on the MBC and good preventative measure for the turbo also.

These hoses have just been made, thank Brad1 for getting Forge to do it :). I'll be keeping an eye on my OE ones and then ordering these should one split.

Nice progress by the way, I wish mine was carrying on as fast as it was early this year but 4 holidays so far took priority. Still, I have coilovers and a trip to NYC to look forward to.

Amazing car, makes me want one even more now.. Well done!

Thanks

Nice one that's quite a good price , I'm interested to see what gains you make with the Mani and hybrid turbo

You and me both, i have not seen any other lads on here install a hybrid with a high flow mani, so there results always varied, i guess if it does not flow over 300bhp with this setup we will all know there are not worth a :w4nk:

Thanks JonJay, she's getting there alright.

I was only hassling Forge a few months back about not having one of these, looks like i wasn't the only one, THANKS BRAD1.

You should pic up some stuff in NYC and smuggle it back in your suitcase. What coilovers did you buy, i am thinking of changing mine.

Enjoy the Hols

I haven't bought any just yet, I have a friend looking at different brands for me. He seems to think that he may be able to get a set of damping adjustables from GAZ. I've not heard much about the brand but he rates them on his race cars and says they have the added benefit of having the damping adjuster on the side of the shock, making them extra easy access on the MK4 platform. We shall see :)

I've heard of GAZ but only really for race applications, i was not aware they made a street coilover, from what i here there a good make.

PCV Fitting

Just fitted the new PCV from Forge, i must say it looks pretty nice and more importantly has great quality to it, i only needed to trim minor bits of the pipes for a nicer fitment, just need to get some fancier hose clips now to compliment it.

hi mate any news on manifold, i want to order one but need to make sure it defo fits before i do,

and does the mbc come with that fitting kit?

thanks

I have been assured by 034 the kit fits TT/S3 225 BAM Engine, so i am hopeful i wont have any problems.!

The MBC comes with 2 springs and brackets/screws to fit it, all you need in silcon hose and 2 T connectors to tap in the boost lines.

BTW, Harty is selling the same kit in the accessories section for cost.
