Hi m8. thanx will have a look c wot i find looked @ukmkiv.net yesterday could'nt find wot iwanted!!.
IF it's the c/module y does it u/lock all other doors&lockthe car?

Hi Karl i was just answering Pauls question id say yours is the key battery and for the price of the battery its worth a go if it hasnt been done.

Problem with mk4 platform door control modules are they are individual to each door hence one can be not working and others fine. At the same time it can work and then not work as a lot of the time it is a bad connection caused by water, solder breaks etc. If one day it wasnt working I could tap the area of the door near the module and it would work again. It gradually got worse over a few weeks/months untill i replaced it.

right i tried the sync a couple more times over the weekend and I actually got it to work then it stopped agai n so I think it may be the batterry.
Ill get one ASAP and let you know

if one door isnt unlocking/locking or will work sometimes then not others it is likely to be your door control module about £100 for the part from the stealers and is fairly simple but fiddly about 1-2hours work. Visit the Vortex forum for the walkthrough or get a mk4 golf haynes

Hi m8 well that woz hsrd work visited vwvortex still dont kno if i got wot i woz lookin 4<your search 4 c/lockin 564 results> as the guide i found shows takin out door lock&w/winder!Guess i'm just goin 2 have 2 remove door card &have a look 4myself how it fits.
