Im in the market for a set of colivers.= :)

I've never fitted any before as the 'roc only allowed lowering spring (had ACC installed).
Looking forward to getting them on as the stock suspension leaves a lot to be desired and the ride height is a little bit ridiculous.

I am planning on tracking the car and I have the mentality that you buy the best, you only have to buy it once! I guess this is why I have ended up looking at two of the most expensive coiover solutions on the market (barring clubsport packages)...

Anyways, what do you guys think? The Bilstein's are about £80 more expensive so i'm gonna ignore the price difference as we are looking at +£1k suspension. Does anybody have any experiences they could share to help me to come to a decision?

Also, both solutions have an option for electronic adjustability. KW has the "hydraulic lift system", allowing 45mm of lift. Bilstein's offering, "ridecontrol", 50mm of lift, but also allows you to change from comfort mode to sport mode. This would come in handy around town!

Cheers,
Pat

i have the KW V3 coilovers and they are fabulous. I think the same as you do when it comes to modifying, ie buy cheap, but twice, so i forked out 1200 notes for mine.

If you read on my thread, i have done an extensive review of the coilovers, but i never knew i can get the hydraulic lift with it, how much extra does that cost?

Hmm KW V3 I reckon in that case.
Also, would you go H&R ARB's or Neuspeed ARB's?

Both kits are pretty much the best options you can get but I'd most likely edge towards the KW V3.

hey damian
sos to go off topic, but what are the recommened settings for KWV3 for road use? the settings i have at the moment are very harsh although my car handles fantastic...its just that i will need a brace for my back if i carry on as it is (i live in a 3rd world town called luton!)

Absolutely no idea how im set up but i know for a fact the front rebound is 3 clicks and rear is 5 clicks. Would like to be more comfy, as long as i have the settings for track and fast road use i can always change it back should i ever need to

thankyou

It's a difficult question as it has a lot to do with personal choice. I would get a free afternoon and just do a little trial and error to get the car feeling how you want it to.

Just note where. How many click left and right from where you are. Then wind them full soft and drive then full hard.

Then adjust to suit. Easy
