fitted my fk coilovers yesterday and when i set the front down low i have a terrible knocking. seemed to be worse when free wheeling. Gota be drive related. The fronts now set up high to stop it, still does it under heavy braking and turning right quickly  Any ideas guys???

Cheers

probably the anti roll bar catching , usually FK supply new drop links , also i remember an other thread of the ARB catching the plastic inner arch on mk4s , worth a check

When one of my ARB links broke (I had removed it earlier but it snapped)....... it made the same awful noises you describe. Replaced and noise obviously went away although i'm not sure what to suggest for you.

well i was thinking along the lines of the driveshafts, as the knocking coinsides (sp) with the wheel movement. would this eliminate it being the ARB? Nothing is ever simple [:@]

I may be wrong but could the ARB be catching on the wishbone ? When I refitted mine a few weeks back I thought it ran a bit to close for comfort but checked the otherside and it was exactly the same :s

Possibly get some chalk or lipstick out and coat the areas you think are rubbing...... go for a test drive and do whatever you need to do to exaggerate the symptons a lot. Come home and look for where the chalk/paint/whatever has spread to. Might seem a silly idea but its worked before for people ;)

Sorry for poor reply im half cut lol
