Knocking Noise Help?

Hi guys are there any common probs as i've been driving the misses new ibiza gti 16v and when i park it and turn on full lock there is a knocking noise but it never does it when driving and all seems to handle well apart from it pulls left a wee bit, any ideas what it mite be?

could be the wheel arch liner, is the car on standard alloys and suspension?

Yeah its totally standard apart from a stainless backbox at the mo.

My old cordoba did it intermittantly (ie when the car was full it happened, when it was just me, it didnt)
easy way to find out is to put her on full lock the opposite way and have a loook in behind the wheel and look for wear marks on the black lining.

Ok cool will have a look at the arch lining but if not spose i'll have to look at bushes and cv joints and that maybe?

you could check the cv boot for holes/splits and loss of grease though id say that would cause more of a grinding noise. bushes do get worn but unless its done startrek miles it shouldnt cause knocking, that would indicate the bush is virtually gone.

no its only on around 77000 so dunno ill try and get under it tomorrow and have a poke.
