I'll deffo be going while again whether it be these wheels or new ones. Love the white against the blue.

White on blue does look good, I preferred your car with white wheels.

Great read! Cars lovely, how do you manage to keep it so yellow?lol I own one myself and they're a pain to keep tidy! What handling mods you going for?

Cheers, I just try keep it as clean as I can. I wash my car nearly every week when the weather is good, this time of year isn't as often.

I was just pricing these up the other day, handling mods I'm planning on getting are going to be Awesome ALK (which uses SuperPro bushes), SuperPro adjustable ball joints, H&R ARB kit 28mm front and 24mm rear. Am thinking of coilovers and a LSD but they won't be for a while yet.

Today I had a busy morning 5 hours cleaning, removing tar and the sticky pads from the old wheel weights then I sealed my new wheels with FK1000p

When I'd finished cleaning the rain stopped long enough for me to try my new wheels. Here's a few pics

Clearance on the brakes wasn't much 2 or 3mm at the most.

Here's how the offset looks

I've pumped the tyres up till 35psi in the front and 32psi in the rear I think that's right for 225/40/18 tyres.

They look nice mate. Not too much clearance though. Getting some spa ers for these or just keeping them like they are for track days?

The wee small stones will get stuck in there. The mates suburu had big stoppers and very little clearance and that's what happened to his.

Car looks awesome in the TDs.

On the brakes, Get them hot and then find a car park, put the steering on full lock and drive slowly. See If you can hear the wheel catching the calipers.

My APs on my Ibiza cleared but when hot they caught.

5mm spacers will clear them nicely. I think they look great in the colour they are as well man.

Cheers guys, wasn't going to get spacer but after reading these comments I going to because I don't want to mark my calipers. Yeah 5mm will be enough, I'm going to price some up later.
I'm still not to sure about colour, I think it's just because of the change, I've got till these tyres are used up before I decide.

Cheers mate. AKS BBK very good brakes miles better than the standard cupra brakes.

Nah there Ferrari F40 calipers with 991 pads and Focus WRC discs

Yeah they are the same as Andrew's' I copied him he posted pics on here and I just thought I've got to get myself a set of them.

:( lol

Tbf I've only had this a month so I will catch up at some point hahah

Downpipe tomorrow :D

Downpipe is one of my next mods, same as you BCS.

Loving those alloys. Looks so much better than stock

They look stunning! Next purchase me thinks :)

Cheers lads, from what I'll read 18s handle a lot better compared to the standard 19s, I'll find out later when I go for a test drive. There is quite a difference in the weight between the TD's and the 19s

Test drove my new wheels this week, I've very happy with how they feel. There was a noticeable difference between the standard 19s and 18" TD's. My car handled better and felt a bit smoother over rough bumpy parts of the road. Couldn't really push to hard because it was wet when I was out but even the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT tyres performed well in the wet.

I fit Forge dv to intake return hose this morning, 2 minute job.
The Forge hose is a bit longer than the original hose which is good as the original was rubbing on my modified engine cover.

I've still got a length of 4mm silicon hose to move the boost gauge sender out of the engine bay to behind the glove box but I'm waiting for the weather to get better before I fit it.
