Just fitted a green cotton filter...worth a ECU reset?

think i might have to do this i drove mine like a granny since i got it back from a service still managed to only get 270 miles to a tank . just doesnt feel like its pulling the same . can any one tell me on their cupra ibiza if there are jubilee clips on the hoses to the front mount intercooler only noticed mine are . heard people saying they use other methods of sealing them some sort of crimp which is suppose to be crap.

do i need to remove the +ve or -ve or both?

i know i'm going to need the radio code. late in day but i may do this tomorrow while she's having a wash and polish if weathers good

silly question but is it worth adding my tuning box then doing a reset ? would it make it run smoother ?

Will a remap reset the ecu at the same time? Ive never reset mine and ive now got an exhaust, filter and fmic. Should i do it before my remap or will it be done anyway?

whenever the ECU is flashed (remap/vagcom etc) it is reset yes mate

does this mean you can scan the ecu with vag com which will trigger a reset? jsut lazy and dont wanna mess with battery

if you change any settings via vagcom it will reset the ecu afaik, i know that if you have any kind of remap this does reset the ECU for sure. if any changes are made to the ECU logic dictates that it would reset itself no?, adaptions are differant as they are there to adapt to the way the car is being driven for fueling etc, oh well just going by what i have been told. best ask in the vagcom section i guess guys, as i have never used it as i say. just trying to help out is all, to save any confusion just unplug the ruddy battery for 20 mins or so lol tis not hard really is it

As far as i knew if you changed settings in the ECU it didnt reset the ECU, merely makes the adaption youve just set.

can I just ask, when you say about windows, do you mean, window windows down and up by holding the button or just by using the 1 touch, 1 touch down, then touch again then 1 touch up, or hold down, then press down again then hold up?

Also, how do I get my radio code?
