i needed to replace the crappy steel mesh one on there, and i got a nice piece of shiny blue hose so every ones a wiener

I didnt know they had an adaptive ECU, does seem to have got a little better, traction control doesnt kick in in 2nd now mind like it used to!
 
while on the topic of air feeds

As some will know, I am messing around with the air intake at the moment, but could someone explain something to me

due to the pre facelift bumpers, I am very limited to what size intake port can be fitted and the cold air feed piping

Currently the air feed is sitting at the bottom of the bumper, but about a 1/3 of it is covered as the gap is 50mm and the piping is 90mm

the next logical step is to remove the fog as the hole for this is 80mm, therefore a 30mm increase over the initial intake hole

now would there be any difference if I still run an 80mm port, but instead of running the 90mm cold air feed, I fit a 102mm cold air feed?

in essence my question is, can something only flow as much as the size of the intake allows?

I guess fitting the largest cold air feed cant do any harm though....

How are you going to fit 102mm beside the battery? mine is a tight fit [think its 76 or 80mm] is it just squashed to a oval?
 
100mm metal goes ok by the battery as long as there are no silly plastic bits left from the original feed :)
 
Maybe mines bigger then I seem to remember it being a bit tight, its a good fit for the foglight hole tho :)

no, yours must be 90mm mate if its tight, as mine is 90mm and its tight right now

102mm is going to be interesting to fit:cartman:

has any1 gone for the Jetex Jetex DCAF Kit or the carbon version??
 
The headlight cover is the only issue Tone. How flexible is that ducting ?

To describe the material its a bit like tarpauling, with a coiled wire in, giving its rigidity, but very mouldable to point in a certain direction and can be flattened. I will take a pic of it tomorrow, as that alu stuff I see on yours I have also had before, its shite, constantly cracked and was very difficult to mould to the right position

take the external plastic cover off the battery Tony, should give you enough space then.

yeah I did think of that, but it will look untidy. I may have to though, function over form
 
Mine is cooker hood extraction stuff, designed for harsh conditions and easy to form with a block and hammer:D So far it has lasted really well.
