No the new Revo is based off the factory update.

This sounds to me like the factory update is already on the REVO map so you wouldent have to go to the dealers to get it done unless you wanted the record of it being done on file. Ill just wait untill my service is due (500 miles) then they will update the software anyway wont they? then ill get the revo put back on (hopefully for free)

Good plan its best to keep all the records up to date. I might have to get my plugs changed at my service iv done about 9,000 miles with no problems but it might be a good precaution to take.
Are you going to any shows this year? would love to see the stage 2 boc in action even if it means a little road trip for me

Yeah I will be at inters in June mate and will be running stage 2+ by then as REVO are finalising the map now to accomodate the twintercooler and intake kit. So end April I may be at their open day getting the map loaded once I have put the twintercooler and induction kit on.

Alrite JC been to the dealers with my flashing engine light. It was for a light misfire on cylinders 1 & 4 so new set of plugs required may even be injectors but techie isn't sure till I've had new plugs. Oh and guess what non in stock so I've got to come back tomorrow. He doesn't want me to take the car because there maybe execessive fuel build up in the cat and potentially knackering it even though I've been driving it round for almost a week because they could fit me in.

so it's probably not the S1 REVO then doing this, because you have not got yours on yet..which i thought may be doing this ????

I will mention it to the dealers next week when the update gets done. Doubt they will replace injectors though or should they? Should I ask them to replace the plugs Mark? As for REVO, I have that covered, I hope still actually, so should be ok. I think I will put the car back to standard and remove the REVO stickers maybe for now hehehehehhe

My deler told me on my last car that the exhaust voided all engine warranty as well as exhaust warranty as you are increasing flow, changing characteristics etc etc. you also have a stage 1 remap, which will of course void you warranty.

Also despite what people say, using the SPS handset and putting it on the stock setting does not mean it has switched back to standard. the dealer if he wanted could quite easily see that it has been mapped, as all the handset does is turn down the settings on the REVO remap to emulate the output of the stock car. Just as when you go to mode C it increases the settings to increase the performance. Its not 3 separate maps, just an adjustable map. So its still modified, but just with stock performance.

The bonus though is that if you revert to standard performance mode it will not be obvious its been mapped so to find out they would have to actively be looking for the remap, If you were to keep it in mode C it would be mega obvious.

It might be worth trying a set of good performance spark plugs a couple steps colder than OEM.

Iridium plugs are pretty good.

I think ill just replace the standard exhaust and get the revo took off for service time and any other little blips my car may have. Then my warranty will stay intact :p i can imagine these engines not being cheap to repair if the s**t hits the fan

sure that would only be the full system as a cat back doesnt change the flow rate as the downpipe restricts this :s

That makes alot of sense i never really thought about that rossers might take it off anyway because i like playing around with stuff like that but i cant really see a cat back changing any flows or anything.

agreed on the cat back, however if you were a dealer trying to get out of a warranty repair then you might think other wise
