Exhaust Sound Clip

Hi all, no new additions this week but I made a clip of the exhaust. I had to blur the entire video to hide my reg but you get the idea although I used a substandard compact camera again. I'm hoping one of you owns something nicer to get some footage on the next RR day.

Anyway, enjoy.

Calipers look nice, Jay. Glad you liked the colour. You didnt find it to bright then and do you think you will match the rears, or not. :)

Also is the colour of your wheels Lexus Grey or just anthracite, becuase i do like the colour and finish and hope to get mine done soon.

Thanks.

Neil.

Nice exhaust sound mate, sporty n just a little bit sleazy ;) Think I'm gonna go for a custom setup when I've got the cash, like the idea of a Milltek but not the prices.

Thanks Neil, I absolutely love them. I've parked the car up in a few places and when I've come back to it all you can see are calipers :D. The brightness kind of defines them a little better too, they look a lot chunkier for some reason but that only scares the people next to you morw when you pull along side at the lights, they're always looking at the brakes. I'm going to put plastic Brembo caliper covers on the rear...haha just kidding, they will be staying standard as I don't think they're much to shout about but I gave them a lacquer refurb.

The wheels are Porsche Meteor Grey :)

That sounds very dirty! love it :)

Thanks lads, I love it. It's pretty raw sounding but that was what I was after and I'm happy that it's not turned out chav. It sounds better than the video, in reality but a better camera should pick that up and with a proper video post Stage 2 next time ;).

Forge Mega Bundle

Hi all, a rather major update here, my masses of forge kit have arrived :).
- Forge Big Race Intercooler
- Forge Turbo Outlet Pipe
- Forge Turbo Inlet Pipe
- Forge DV Relocation kit
- Forge Split-R (well, it was missing from the package so dispute created)

utf-8BSU1HMDAwNzUtMjAxMTA1MTAtMTk0OS5qcGc.jpg

I can't wait to get this lot on, rebuild the machine and get it to Stage 2 now.

As you know I already have a TIP, I'm not interested in the DV Relocation and the Split-R may replace the 007.

So, the DV Relocation, Split-R/007 and TIP will all be up for sale on Pistonheads or EBAY very soon as I have no used for them.

Nice little bundle there, was that direct from forge?
Personally i bought the DV relocation kit to prolong 007 life less for the bling factor, soon to be running stage 2 boost will make some high temps
I can hold my cool DV after spirited driving whereas before it was like magma to touch
At work we have similar valves controlling very hot air and after 6 months the o-rings become brittle and scorched and do pass air (aerospace parts are monitored very closely)
Unless very regularly servicing it may not be a bad idea to use it

Ahhh, so you purchased this rather large bundle from the fella on ebay, had my eye on it too!lol

Well one of us had to get it ;). There's actually been a fair few used Forge coolers on Ebay recently, keep your eye out!

No not from Forge, it's all second hand but in great condition. It was sold as a package and I knew that I'd not need the TIP for starters so that was always going to go back up for sale. I can see the theory behind the relocation kit but I really won't have a use for this and would be best off with someone who would and besides it upsets my stealth engine bay :D. My 007 is still performing very well and I don't mind servicing it but I think I want to try the Split-R (when it arrives) but either way, one will be up for sale. I am keeping the Outlet Pipe, they're prone to going I believe but my OE one still looks brand new, I'll inspect properly and if it is still good then the Forge pipe will also be sold on.

I'm dead excited about it. I will be trying AMD Stage 2 as I have faith in the company but IF I have any problems then I'm sure they'll see me right or trade me for REVO.

It is missing the crash bar, a shame really but I am fabricating my own brackets and modifying an OE crash bar at a fraction of the cost. I paid quite a bit less than the advertised EBAY price so I am happy, just a little peeved about the DV but as I paid through PayPal, I'll get some compensation I am sure.

Anyone in the know, how would the dispute work if I cannot get hold of the seller (who has been very good so far)? A new Split-R is £150 so would I get compensation for that amount or for a used one which gor for circa £90 is seems?

First thing I would do would be phone the guy and have a chat to him
Did you buy it out of eBay ???
How did you pay as in paypal gift ???
Worst thing is the guy might say well I'll give u full refund and u send bits back
Or he might knock say £50 off it or something

I've text the guy tonight but no reply so far but people get busy, I understand that. I am going to give him until tomorrow evening to reply and then I'll try to call, if that doesn't work then I'll stick in the dispute. We settled out of EBAY but I paid for 'Goods', not a Gift so that covers me.

I doubt that guy will want all of the bits back, not now he has the cash but I am willing to agree on a refund for the amount that the item would cost me to buy second hand if he's willing to. I've emailed PayPal to ask their advice too.

Was this the one on pistonheads? I did text the guy about all this. I only was interested in the big race cooler and forge turbo hose though.

The cooler and a stage 2 code will really unleash your car bud.

nice big package your have there jason :) i cant wait to see it all fitted.
i hope your sort your dispute out :)

Niiiiiiice purchase mate :)

Thanks lads, hopefully not too lonng until it's all on :). I can't get hold of the guy so I called PayPal for some advice, they were very helpful and told me to raise a dispute right away so I now have done. I'll give the guy a bit to get it sorted or get back to me but if not then I have to raise this to a claim which if the seller still doesn't act upon, I will be refunded my money. TBH I don't want to screw the guy, he has been very good and all I want is the DV :) but you can't be too careful I guess so may as well cover myself. Anyway, this is testament to anyone buying goods as to why they should use PayPal and NOT pay for items as a 'gift'.

Yeah it was on Pistonheads too & we agreed a priced from there.

Can't wait Tom, just need to sort a couple of leaks in addition to this and I am ready!
