There's nothing you can't do with a hammer is there Dan haha, I actually want to watch you build your engine, it's going to be very entertaining :D.

Cheers though mate, I'll have a look after work and see if I can do this. When you thread the hose through the grommet hole, which area of the dash does it poke into?

Great looking car mate, sounds the b******s.....
I had a bit of a problem fitting my gauges, to be honest. The silicone tubing i had i routed through the bonnet release grommet and ran it along the wing with the cable and then across to the FPR.
Trying to get the tubing through can be a headache as the silicone is 'sticky'. Dont do what i did and lube it, made it worse :(
I used a stiff wire to poke it through and took the dash away below the steering wheel and just stook my hand up there and felt for it. Might make it easier if there is 2 people though.. ;)

I used this thread for the installation, mate.

I works a treat. Just to let you know though, even with a permanant live the Autogauges can still 'lose' there memory, but not all the time. You may find that you have to change to red sometimes as the first default colour is blue.
Just a thought aswell, sorry to go on , but if in the future you want an Autogauge oil temp gauge then you might want to route some thin green wire through at the same time as the tubing as this can then connect to the temp sender unit on top of the oil filter housing. It would be a mare to do afterwards. ;)

Cheers.

Good shout on the exhaust! sounds superb, REALLY!

Very addictive noise isnt it, Note you will be now using alot more fuel! - Driving longer routes and aimlessly around...

It sounds almost identical to yours now Chrissy, it's sooted up a bit and the note is ever more racey...if that was possible :D.

Driving lots and I have spent a fortune on fuel with a huge smile all the way through. I hope to get a better quality video soon once I've done some maintenance things on the car.

This doesn't concern anyone but I wanted to dump a post in here with the P/N for the green temp sensor :D.

For your own reference, Jay: Green Temp Sensor: 059 919 501A (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Volkswagen-Au...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a099be2da)

I'll doing thisd along with a TB clean/reset, DV service & boost leak test to make sure all is as it should :).

Neil what did you lube with? :cheeky: I used a bit of fairy and the coathanger and it took a bit of force but came through fine. Maybe different rubber?

I used a silicone based lube thats used on bike chains etc, it was ok at first but attracted a load of fluff and dust and became sticky for some unknown reason.
Never thought to use fairy.

Hi everyone,

As some of you know I have had a couple if issues with the car recently but I'm glad to say that they all seem to be rectified. I've fitted a new MAF, new N75, Green CTS & reset the TB. The car is running extremely well, again ;). The latest logs I have from this car show that it's sucking in air at 226/gs which equates to around 285bhp, this is still on it's stage 1 & pre-FMIC so watch this space once it's mapped for everything.

I decided to show the car some extra love so I detailed it today.

Exterior Paint:

- Megs Clay Bar & Megs Speed Detailer
- AG SRP
- CG EZ Creme Glaze
- CG Jetseal 109
- Collinite 476s

Exterior Plastics & Tyres:

- Megs Endurance Tyre Dressing

Engine Bay, Unbonnet Painted Areas & Exhaust Tip:

- Megs Endurance Tyre Dressing
- WD40
- Autosol Metal Polish
- Megs Deep Crystal Polish
- Collinite 476s

Wheels:

- CG EZ Creme Glaze
- Collinite 476s

Here's the love & FMIC up next :)...

very nice, didn't think i liked ovni leons but yours has just changed my mind

looks well mate and iam same dont usally like yellow but yours looks good.

Thanks for the kind words, I am glad it has changed your mind. It's a marmite colour but I think the wheel colour and the suspension drop have set it off well :).

http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/ tells you all few people used light smoke on there headlights and rear lights and coloured stuff on fogs I like it. But I am not too keen on dark smoke on black car looks a bit OTT plus prob illegal that dark. i am going to do my rear lights very soon shame the stuff it pricey thou.

I just had a quick look and I'm interested in the light smoke for the lights, looks quite nice. I'll bare this in mind for the finishing touches to the car once the tuning is done :).
