it does amaze me how i have created so much dammage. i take it yours was fixable..

Yeah.. thank god.. i was about 80 odd miles from home.. at 11pm.. the curb itself was probably 3".. hit it full force.. there was an almighty bang.. (which was probably the air bag) the car filled with smoke and a really nasty smell.. and just drifted to a hault.. got out expecting to see a massive hole in the side of the car, or a bent/buckled wheel and a puncture.

But looked normal, except a dent in the alloy... panicking because i knew the spare was flat. i got myself together.. got back in the car. turned off the ignition and back on again.. started and moved.. then realised the seat belt crash pre-tentioner had made the drivers seat belt un usuable.. then felt my arm was wet.. .. as i was wearing a t-shirt at the time.. i looked at my arm and the force in which the seat air bag came out had made a massive friction burn on the back of my arm.. wasnt dripping but there was red stuff.

Should of called the AA or something, but thought i would try to drive back home.

Made it all the way fine.. very lucky there wasnt any major damage.. cost a couple of hundred to fix which i didnt need.

But it could of been a whole lot worse... could of flipped the car i guess :(

Yours looks a whole lot worse, and just glad you walked away from it.

i have found several bruizes i cant explain on my legs and arms all on the side of the drivers door.. so presuming thats where they came from.

i hardly noticed, i remember thinking for a split second.."oh sh!t" and then hitting the curb, loud band which was the airbag and still trying to control the car.. as even as i hit foot was on the breaks etc.

i turned off the car when it happened..looked and was like bollox...!!

but there you go.

Sorry to jump into an already well established thread, but OMG i didn't realise just how much damage could be caused by just hitting a kerb at a relatively normal speed

Glad that apart from a few bruises you came out unscathed though!
