The reply to a question I asked ;)

"I am verifying that with alan, as it still has warranty, but wouldn't if it hadn't been serviced. Alan seemed to think it was only due a service at 10,000miles and not every year, but he is checking with seat tomorrow. It is cheap, because alan is after a quick sale, the car is mint, so don't be put off by the price"

One thing I picked up;

He says that Alans wife who drove the car didn't like it and that it was too fast, if she didn't like it and it wasn't driven much, why did they mod the headlights?

Theres defo some Makeral in that boot i.e. that car smells fishy:D

Like I said - it could all be genuine, and if so there's a real bargain to be had if so many other people are being put off.

I'll give you a similar example - the static caravan we just bought to live in while we selfbuild. The seller was only asking £500 and in the photos it looked horrible - we assumed it would be pretty grim but went for a look anyway.
We were very pleasantly surprised, and he accepted our offer of £300 just because he needed to get rid.
Most of the same age/condition go for around £2000 !

So I wouldn't dismiss this car without having a look...!

I've just had a look at a couple of online price guides – not very accurate but in my experience they normally overvalue cars. Their part exchange values for that spec car are:

Parkers: £7470
Virtual Showroom (Glasses): £8010
What Car: £6595 (04 reg), £7495 (05 reg)

So the price isn't THAT far out for a quick sale, especially as the car is yellow with silver mirrors and red lights, which will limit its appeal enormously. Could be genuine.

Would anyone here be interested in buying it if was a genuine bargain?

on an FR silver mirrors are factory fit whatever colour the car is

they match the wheels and detailing on the interior

Yes, I do realise that – I own one. What I mean is that silver mirrors are not to everyone's taste and personally I think they work better on red, black or greyish cars. Just my opinion – no offence intended.:)

I am the guy who has posted it on ebay.

The picture is not outside a dodgy back street garage, but a valeting company, which i own, and the car is mint. I think Alan regrets putting the red lights on now, but is swapping around headlights, which will cost you £100, putting you off an absolute bargain?

cheers
