Aren't car giant well known for charging huge interest rates? if so, then you may find the "cheap" initial price will be a couple of grand higher by the time it's payed off.

i agree its got quite a high millage or its age but it must be motorway miles which arnt too stressfull on a diesel so im not that worried. of course i wont pay that price for it ;) only problem i can see is that it has a nasty scratch on the rear which i have a "quote" of 300 to get the boot fully resprayed. ;) so they got to give me that at least. I will of course be checking for FSSH and that it has manu warrenty left and anything else they can give me.

Have you done a search on autotrader to see how the price vary`s around the uk . It might be worth it to save some cash or find a better car

20K miles a year isn't too high. That's quite normal these days for a lot of people. And if it's motorway miles, that's even better, so don't let it put you off!

The price looks about right to me. As already said, the same car from a Seat dealer would cost more than that. So if it comes with a decent warranty and is in good condition, I'd say it's a good buy.

I don't think you can haggle at car giant, I think they just say screen price or walk away.

Not strictly true. I purchased my car from there and was able to knock off £100 due to a large scratch on the passenger's door and also some very skinny looking tyres on an already very reasonable asking price. If the person you are dealing with won't budge, ask to see the manager of the section and go outside with him to the car and show him the problems and you might have some success.

If you're expecting a decent test drive at this place then don't bother. A quick spin around the industrial estate and that's it.
If you're thinking of buying from this place do as much research into the car as possible would be my advice.

well i bought it today, and couldnt be happier. went to a seat garage and the same colour leon 110 was sitting there with only 5k miles less for 9500 sticker price. and no way would i bargain that much off.

Car is

05 Seat leon SX
Manu Warrenty till July 08
all tyres were fine except 1 (right on limit) and it had a nasty scratch

when i came to collect it the scratch had mysteriously gone and there was a new tyre on the front so bonus.

im very very happy.
