I'm sure there's a Brodit mount for iPods. There's definitely a Brodit ProClip for mk2 Leons - I've got the A-pillar version for the iPhone but I'm sure they do a couple of versions mounted on the centre console too. Google for Brodit ProClip and I'm sure you'll find something suitable. ;)
