Interior light not working properley

Hi guys

My wife just bought an altea yesterday and I was cleaning it up a bit today and noticed the front interior lights wherent working while the doors opened. They work if you switch them on by each individual reading light but if I use the other switch which turns them both on and door operated they don't work. Anybody got any ideas? Maybe the light unit needs replacing? The rear lights work fine and as they should do.

I think this happens to everyone but its easilly fixed. You basically need to move the contacts out a bit to meet the switch for the door open setting. A few of us have had this and there are pictures of it on here. If you struggle post a picture up of your light. I bought one before I fixed mine. It's from a VW Fox but is the same dimensions etc

This is quite an easy fix and worth trying your self.

Hi jay I have tried this but still not working! I can't post a picture because I don't have enough posts yet. I am looking at upgrading it to the polo one I think it is where it has the main light and 2 reading lights. But I've found one from a 9n polo but also ones from 6r polos. Not sure which is the best one to buy.
