Model Year 24/25 Sunroof issues

Hi, was wondering if anyone else had had the same issues, my 3 month old v3 formentor has a sunroof, yesterday the sunroof opened but wouldn’t close using the silly slide switch on roofing panel, the only way it would close was holding the lock switch on key fob, the interior light switch wouldn’t work either and the touch sensors on the interior lights work only when they feel like it, booked in Monday at dealer, hopefully get it sorted, just wondering if it is a common fault or just a one off. Disappointed because the car is only 3 months old and this is only the second time I’ve had the roof open.

Disappointed as the car is only three months old, could understand if it was 3 years old and it happened after multiple uses.

Has anyone with a Formentor sunroof actually got a sunroof that works as it should ie using the switch panel does it work exactly as it is supposed to irrespective of the temperature!

If anyone has a correctly working sunroof is it the original switch panel or has it been replaced - my VZN is due to go in for a service and I don`t know whether to get the sunroof seen to but I don`t feel inclined to do that if it is still going to be faulty after the switch panel is replaced!

I had 2 replacement control panels on my sunroof, they completely dismantled everything and rebuilt it, and when they gave it back, they had somehow disabled the projectors moving up on the high beam, and turned off the cornering lights.

Honestly, I don’t think there is a fix for it, mine always failed when the weather went colder

Ended up just getting rid of the car because I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle anymore

Mine seems to work in lower temps and on a hot day providing I am travelling fast enough to keep the roof cool but if its been standing in the Sun it does strange things like it won`t open or it won`t close if it`s been open!

Not really good enough its not exactly a cheap car is it!

At least yours just stops working
My would constantly phone breakdown and customer care, and I could do nothing to stop it
Which also meant it would disconnect my Apple CarPlay, so I’d lose maps and audio for up to 30 mins whilst it sorted itself out

I’ve since swapped to a FR Leon hybrid, not missing the lack of sunroof at all

My new Cupra sunroof control would would fine some days and others not at all, so I would have to use the remote to lock the car and close it. Was fixed under warranty at about 5000km
