Nothing major just a question. the car on my screens and in the app are silver when my actual car is white. I was wondering if this is the same for all formentors or is mine wrong

Same for everyone.

Not sure why they don't bother adding that to the software. Seems like a simple feature.

The interface files are all Kanzi format, modifying the graphics would mean you would have to edit these. There's no freeware tool available to do this (yet), but it's not impossible.

My Mercedes is the same i have to look at a base model sport in silver.

Would be much nicer if they actual matched your car

My VW’s the same, although the car’s a couple of years old and doesn’t have the latest generation of VAG tech / software (mine works as it should and is free of bugs and gremlins!). It doesn’t bother me the image is a different colour to my car as I rarely access the screens with the image of the car displayed.

Maybe with increased tech in cars, perhaps the vehicle image is displayed on more screens so owners are seeing the ‘wrong’ image quite often? If so, then that might be a little irritating to some owners.

IMHO software that’s fit for purpose is more important than the colour of the car image displayed on screens and in apps matching the actual car’s paint colour. That’s just my opinion though.

I agree. I am a bit OCD with details. But I probably only really picked up on this by reading about it on this community.
Mine is a 2019 model, but I spotted this early doors. And happy to live with it. Even if mods were available, it wouldn't be high on my bucket list

On your car it's an easy fix. I made an entire toolbox to deal with the Golf Mk7 infotainment graphics. I agree, the image isn't important but it's kind of annoying to see the default car model instead of your version with the right rims and all.

And a later iteration of the graphic:

See the toolbox here:

Some blog posts I made about it:
MIB 2.5 graphics updates
Releasing the MIB2-High toolbox!

And a small video of some of the changes. Most of them are subtle, like the pattern on the seats and darkmode menu buttons.
