Installing parking sensors

Whenever I put my car into reverse I get a loud beep which I'm guessing is due to it having parking sensors at one stage. As it was upgraded to the bttc kit.

To link them up again is it just a matter of getting new sensors and plugging them back in? also is it just in the rear that they usually have them in leons?

I'm saying that as there is no button to turn them off, so if driving to close in traffic they would keep going off. Which is why I'm thinking they are only on the rear and only on in reverse (hence no point having them on the front)

Sorry for the questions, it's just a bit annoying having a big beep when reversing but no sensors :(

I would say that you're right that they used to be there.
If all of the wiring is still in place, you should be able to get new sensors to connect up and refix.
You only get them on the back and are activated by putting the car in reverse, hence the beep you get when you do it.

The cables will probably be tucked away somewhere before your bumper.
Without looking at a wiring diagram, I don't know where the cables run? Might be with the cables for the rear light clusters?
There'll probably be some tech person on the forum who'll know.
