Finally got around to ordering a pair of genuine VW fan washers from Lister's SEAT for £21.60 delivered. They arrived today, and following the easy instructions within this thread, were fitted in less than 5 mins. Set the spray height to maximum, and will see how this goes when I next go out in the car.

If you want genuine (VW) heated washers, go to the top of the forum and look for 'SEAT UK Dealer Network Section' and then click on 'Listers SEAT'. Create a new post and ask a fella called Mike what you want. Give him your reg. number and he'll come back with the correct part no. and price. I've bought the non-heated washers from Mike, and all went perfect.

Mine arrived yesterday so i thought i`d change them this morning before i started to get ready for work. 30 minutes later and i`m a broken man.
Cant get them out no matter what i do, push down and pull has only resulted in 2 broken finger nails and a lot of swearing. :headhurt:

Mine also arrived, but after reading through this thread and the instructions, I had them both swapped over in less than 5 minutes.

I am no where near you so can only offer advice via here. This is what I did.

Open bonnet, locate the washer, with finger tip near to the windscreen, pull the washer towards the front of the bonnet and downward at the same time - you are hooking the front out. Slight tug and released. Pull the heater plug out, slide the black clip up/away on the water hose and disconnect. Opposite as above to install again. It really is quite easy. If it helps you can send me your email address and i can video it for you?

I just need to adjust mine, I wound them so they are all the way up - which is great on the motorway, but no so good at 30mph, so will bring down a bit

Thanks guys. Managed to get it off but the other is too small, it just falls out and only sprays about an inch up the screen even with adjusting the screw. I got the link from here for the jets so not sure what’s gone wrong.

Got mine yesterday for my facelift from Listers, fitted this morning in under 5 mins, only had to slightly adjust the screw clockwise to lift them up a few mm.

I ordered the heated versions from Hongkong. They came in two weeks and cost about 7€. Fitted them both in under 5 minutes and they work perfectly! I had a problem with the original drivers side washer not always spraying properly but now its fixed with these

I'm considering trying the Chinese ones, the pictures on the link don't look correct, looks like one hole not a slot as the genuine ones are, plus no obvious adjustment slot or screw?
