I wanted to just put my hand into the mix as I am one of the luckier owners.

- Infotainment works really well and any lag is hardly noticeable - I am coming from BMW iDrive.
- Wireless Android Auto is flawless and works every time.
- Everything seems to work as it should (so far)
- I am even getting 25-30mpg around town in a mix of Cupra and Comfort.
- The App (although I wouldnt pay for it) is nice and hasn't thrown up any random issues.
- No rattles and the car feels completely solid to drive.
- No errors have flagged up and the safety features work as intended.

I was a bit worried about the lack of buttons but as the volume/media controls are on the steering wheel, and I have found the perfect temperature that suits me, I haven't really had to use it apart from when I am waiting for the misses and looking around the menus etc. Plus the "hola hola" works really well or pressing the voice command button on the steering wheel.

For me, at present, it is easily the best car for me and my family. It is incredibly comfortable in normal "comfort" mode, so light and quiet around town... then an entirely different beast when you need it to be.

I am very happy and it was worth the 8 month wait :)

I’m in the same boat. Barely any issues. Even the ACC slow down is vary rare, and if you’ve got your wits about you you can just drive through it.

A few people here just ‘bought the wrong car’ and can’t cope with technology. I’m sure the usual suspects will be along shortly to tell us we’re wrong, the car is a death trap etc. etc.

the whole software situation on these cars is a shambles none of them should be on the road in my eyes ,i have never hated a car so much as this one ,i spoke with the dealer today who has been waiting 2 months for a steering rack for my car and no update on the major software that was supposed to be out last year .......shocking .....i was told mine needed a new rack after 1500 miles WTF >>>> last spanish car i ever have back to BMW next time.
Whilst initially looking forward to my car, I'm also getting this message loud and clear - and beginning to wonder if 'still no build date since September 2021' is a flippin' blessing in disguise!!??

Methinks Yes... cancel email going out tonight!

All car manufacturers are having problems with build dates. You need to be a bit sensible and take a view on the issues because as many people say, this forum will naturally attract buyers with issues whilst many people have no problems.

Had my V2 for about two weeks now and the infotainment system is really starting to slow up. It seems to be way worse when I change from my wife’s key to mine, or vice versa. I’ve just come back from a 40 minute drive and it said updating settings the whole way. As far as I can see, whilst it’s doing that, I can’t change any fan or heater settings, the radio won’t work etc, etc. Is there a way to reset it when it’s doing that, or do I just have to wait? Seems a bit much. It has the updated software, from memory I think it was 1890, but I can’t check because I can’t be arsed to sit and wait again!

You can do a forced reset by pressing and holding the screen power button for 10 seconds. It's working like a charm! It happened to me also and this is how you fix it

I am on 1890 software and after 2 weeks having a few glitches to be aware of i can live with them

1. set zone to 120 mph in a 50 for about 5 minutes (really random it was raining so i wonder if that affected it )
2 problems with wireless android auto and phone connection (can't seem to get this to stabilise)
3 random reset (not very annoying but knocks the settings off whilst driving)

no other issues to report for now
still loving the car though

Hi Spivvy, I've the same version and a strange reset located in the Telephone part.

After, 3 / 4 min of driving, I've a message : vehicle settings will be applied, after clicking OK, I have a loading screen then All my telephone settings are RESET. No more contact bookmarks and HD voice quality reset back to OFF. I need to bookmarks again each contact.

Is this this kind of reset ?

hi nothing like that it just logs out the existing profile and logs back in that sounds like it is switching profiles you can check after the reset to see which profile is logged in by clicking top right

Nice to see some positivity in here, I'm yet to actually get one but have to admit the amount of complaining and niggles in various threads does give me pause for thought?
That said you tend to see the same across other sites😒
I am a happy owner of a 150hp/DSG Formentor. After 3000Km in 2 weeks, i didn't experience any bugs in the infotainment system. I also have to make some comments on my own:

1. I have always 2 Android phones connected; one meant for calls, the other for Android Auto (navigation & apps). Never experienced an issue.
2. 7.5 lit/100Km on average
3. ACC works fine. In the case of cars that slip in the same lane in front of me (brakes) and then leave the lane, sometimes the acceleration is hard (imagine putting 140Km/h and falling into 100Km/h because of the car in front). But how could it be otherwise.
4. ACC is used in traffic conditions as well. No issues
5. In Drive mode, when i have to make an overtake at 100+Km/h, the response is slower than expected; have to use Sport mode.
6. Something i didn't find in the owner's manual (yet!). I want to see everytime what gear is selected; i only get "D" in the digital cockpit.
7. Owned a new (2020) Ibiza (115hp/DSG) for 18 months before getting the Formentor. The new car steers like a train, is not more "alive" but is for sure more comfy. Also it needs to get >180Km/h to feel the high speed, in the Ibiza that "warning" limit was at 150Km/h.
8. Got the parking assist package with side/front/rear sensors. There is a blind spot on the side, when obstacles are <30 cm high. Have a look at it!
9. Although Cupra mode is missing (and 160 hp less than the 310hp - don't care about hybrids), in everyday use there is not THAT much difference that should make me give 13.000E more to get the VZ. Taxes and cost of fuel also get higher.
10. Turned off "hola" and i just press the button on the wheel when "i feel hot/cold" hence i don't understand the fuss with touch AC controls etc. I always give voice commands to turn it on, works flawlessly.
11. Touch bar needed to have subtle light at night.
12. I have driven 15 cars in the past 2 years, the formentor was the one with the most "confident" steering and cruise. I am sure there are more vehicles that transmit this sense of safety as well, for me this was the first one. These 245 Goodyears are making the difference (VS my 185 Hankook) as well.
13. I think that there is some creaking noise from the right door from the speaker; hardware thing, i think there is a loose screw or something. Start listening a creaking sound over street anomalies on the right side after 2000Km. I am a guy who loves quiet cruise tbh.
14. Fantastic looks, can't get bored looking at this beauty (Magnetic Tech).
