Hi everyone, I hope you are well. Quick question, I am currently on version 1896. I have a Formentor vz 2.0 2020. Can I update directly to 1969?

Main reason why I want to upgrade is because I am trying to become a primary user and every time I do it says “Sorry, this function is unavailable”

I raised a ticket with Cupra who advised taking the car to a dealership to get it updated but the booking is far away, I’m also unsure if they will charge me for the update as I am out of warranty.

Check if theres any campaign for the vehicle, if not, prepare at leaat 100€ to do it, its insane.

Does any of you have problems with the internet connection using Apple Carplay? I recived an update in my Leon 1969 like 1 month ago and now every time I connect to the car via carplay it says I dont have internet and I have to pay CONNECT.

Is a very frustrating bug, specially when you are driving and you need to use the maps app.

I just had my Leons infotainment updated to 1969 last week and no problems at all. Resolution seemed to change, and overall it works more smooth. No other changes visible at this point.

Happy (new) owner of a french 2022 Leon PHEV, I'm currently on version 1804. Seat is asking €120 for the latest version!

I have several questions:

  • What is the current latest version?
  • Where can I download "safe" versions?
  • Is it really risky to do the update myself?
  • Which versions do I need to go through to reach the latest one?
  • Finally, once the latest version is installed, will future updates be available OTA?

Thanks in advance for your feedback and help.

Glad to have an answer to your inquiry.
The latest released version for MIB3 in Leon system is 1969.
I would advise you to first update to 1899 and from there to 1969.

Everything can be risky if you are unlucky, personally did 3 updates on this unit (while driving - don't do that) without any issues.
Regarding OTA, yes, if there will be ever be another OTA update coming you'll receive it.

Relevant documentation can be found in this post:
