Hello everybody, a question: it is necessary to have a MySeat Connect account to update the system fw? Or can I download from somewhere and load it on a pendrive?

There is no active online account. Download the firmware properly and then flash it to the current 1969 depending on the firmware currently installed. Be careful, connect the charger to the battery

Why shouldn't you update while driving?
I did this for the last 2 versions without any issues.

Every now and then some assistance system warning appears in the dashboard, but apart from that...
And even that is nothing too unusal, atleast on my car :ROFLMAO:

Considering the damage and cost if something goes wrong, while updating firmware, then doing it while driving seems a bit flippant.

It's your car so up to you, but I've had phones that got bricked during a firmware update - imagine that happening to your car.

I understand all that, but why would it be riskier while driving?
Not that I'm saying update while you're driving to work anyway, just wondering.

It's riskier if you use an SD card and adaptor, it's riskier if you use a USB extension, it's riskier if you haven't got the car connected to a battery charger.... etc. etc.

Anything that goes wrong during the update could brick it, costing thousands to fix, anything you can do to reduce that risk is a good thing for most people.

I successfully updated the infotainment system in my Leon a couple of months ago to 1969 however it seems to have caused a new 'bug'. Every other week the system starts up showing the tutorial screen and has forgotten any customisations that I have made to the main screen although my user is still logged in and it is showing my name and successfully syncs. Has anyone come across this before and knows of a fix?

I was very nervous doing the installation. But I completed both updates without any problems. I would like to thank @cairus very much for the files.

Mine has done that since I’ve had it, still does, although not sure if I’m on 1940 or 1969 /
