The bonnet is included too. Check all the doors and the bonnet are fully closed, and not just by eye, give them all a good slam!

Then lock the car with a window open and try and set off the alarm to see if its working by waving your arms around inside or popping the bonnet open.

You must have an alarm you got sensors in the rear lights above the rear doors?
The door sensors are actually in the door lock, a bit of a git to get too as well.
Try spraying each lock with WD40 or like might help.

Had same problem, it was the bonnet.
When the bonnet is open remove the plastic cover in front of the catch, just four clips, you can see the switch, move the bonnet release in and out, its underneath. As the bonnet release goes back in it presses down on the switch making contact.
Clean out with loads of WD40, check switch by pressing down on the contact firmly with flat head screwdriver and try locking car ( doors shut ) should see indicators blink once. If like mine yours is wobbling about on a flexy wire, you need to adjust the angle of the switch so the bonnet release glides over it trapping it in place with enough pressure to keep contact, hey presto!! if that doesn't work, back to the doors and boot.

hi once again,

just popped bonnot open and found the switch. its got like a metal clip that presses down on the switch orange coloured ive ran outta wd40 so just going to buy some but before that the switch does go down easily and makes contact etc the wire coming out of it goes to a plug but tihs plug is not connected and has never been connected (i think as was off a fully loaded v5 toledo) i cant find another plug that this plugs into nearby? is there anyway i could wire this plug up there should be a way?

thnks you

another reason the indicators wont flash is to indicate the remote keyfob battery is low

You said it had recently stopped working, right or wrong? Not sure what the plug is. if it has recently stopped working then the plug is surplus to requirements unless you unplugged it. have you pushed switch closed with a screw driver and checked again? This will rule it out if it's still not working. Then bet is it's something else. Follow advise from the other posts on thread. My switch needed a lot of fiddling to position at the right angle to produce enough pressure to keep the contacts together when bonnet was closed.
