If only Milltek did finance.

It would be so convinient for some of us who aren't in a position to cough up the lump some £££ to install a full Milltek system on our LCR's

Maybe i should pop a suggestion on their site :D

Feck that, you would be long bored of the new system long before you had even paid off the interest. People using finance to buy thing they didn't need is the reason banks won't give me a mortgage!

Tesco Credit Card.... Interest free on all purchases for 13 months,..... Result.

You can'y really beat that at all & I imagine you will accrue Clubcard points also to put towards your fuel :).

As I've worked in 'the trade' though, a word to anyone getting a credit card is just to be careful! It's far too easy to spend money that isn't yours and forget that it NEEDS to be paid back. If you do decide to go this route for the Milltek then just use it for one item at a time and don't load any other big purchases onto it until the Milltek is paid for, I know it's all too tempting to mod the car all at once though.

Look at alternative systems I'd say. I think the miltek systems are great but well over priced in my opinion

couldn't agree more , the real difference from custom set up on mine is the tig welding looks better but , mine exhaust flows better clearly when dyno'd both set ups on same car , way i see who gets under the car to look at the exhaust really

how much is the FULL turbo back milltek system for the LCR? (the new one)

some of us dont want the big sounding systems, so ill be more than happy with the milltek.

@ current milltek owners, how much difference did the milltek make over the standard exhaust (performance wise)

as said before custom exhaust aren't all loud you can tailor make it to what you want , my first system was quiet but wanted more noise so change the backbox

Nope, I did notice a quicker spool on the custom free flowing set-up but NOT Milltek, the backbox is very very restrictive, they sell their products to a 'mature' audience, claiming 'performance' increased that 'blows your mind, not your ears', well.... it doesn't blow anything, I think people who have this system and notice gains must have had a poorly previous exhaust, placebo effect......

hmmm fair enuff.

exhausts only gain about 10-15 percent though,
but yeh, i expected more from milltek...

i think its about 900 quid for the full turbo back on the LCR.
hmmmmmm

Joeb, I opted for a Pipewerx 3" DP & Race-Cat mated to a high flow custom Cat-Back. I've never experienced the Milltek but this thing chucks out the gases out very fast and feels a lot more free revving and punchy. I am due Stage 2 soon so look out for the results I guess :).

to be honest, im not looking for pub talk bhp figures, im looking for nice flows and quicker spools.

is a quicker spool worth the 900 quid alone, questionable really isnt it?

BUT the 900 quid might well be worth it if i spent an extra 50 quid going to stage 2 revo.

Jam,
3 inch downpipe? same as the milltek.

do you have a link to the companies website.
any videos of your sound..?

thanks

as said before i've experienced both milteks and john ashley exhaust set up , and not only felt gains on the road but seen on dyno better gains from john's system as well , bare in mind ther was £375 quid difference in price as well , just think it's a bit much for what you actually get , and also i get life time warranty parts on labour , would never go back to milteks
