Not hard if you're careful.
You should kill the fuel pressure (preferably remove fuel pump relay while engine is running) and disconnect the battery.

Undo the fuel rail mounting bolts and lift away. The injectors will come with it. The injectors have small metal clips holding them to the fuel rail. You need to make sure you don't lose O rings off the injectors.

Haynes Manual for Golf & Bora 2001 to 2003 always handy for more detail.

Had a look at swapping the injectors around mate, but I think I need to take the upper part of the intake mani off (couldnt get all the bolts out and didnt want to snap the heads off) so left it. :(
