RIGHT!!!! all done - after god knows how many trips to the dealership and 3 trips to AWESOME GTI!! Problem solved - throttle body realigned and everything hunky dorey!!! No probelms wat so ever - Think that is why they are called AWESOME gti - they are good - anyway hope this helped you other guys out with the same problem - i can now concetrate on modifications that dont involve repairing things first - Good look to you all - Let em know of any rolling road days - come and say hi or summet!!

SO the problem was fixed by cleaning/Realining the throttle body?

Should'nt a ECU reset Realign the throttle body? Also how do I realine it myself?

Do you have VAG-COM? Or do you know anybody nearby with it?

thats the thing as it is electronically controlled the so called "flap" and timing of the throttle body after a while goes out of sync so causes what the ecu reads as pressure drop - but it is i suppose a bit like timing on an old car - only know this due to the good old renault 5's - one notch out and it throws the whole car to pot!!
