Idle issue - S3

Hi soz this is yet another idle thread. I tried searching on this and couldnt find anything. My S3 has fairly lumpy idle. The revs dont move much, just slightly bounce up and down. The car vibrates quite a lot every few seconds. not nice...

It was in for a service at Audi so I got them to check it out. With the MAF unplugged it was nice and smooth, so ok I thought its the MAF! Put a new one on and its doing the same thing so I guess its not that? Bit strange though! Any Ideas?

sounds like u have an air leak somewhere after the maf sensor. try spraying some carb cleaner around the air pipes and when the engine pickes up the revs you've found the area of the leak

could be a blocked cat. My mate had roughly the same symptoms wouldn't rev gave poor reading in vagcom, took the turbo of to see if i was knackered and noticed (somehow!)that the cat was blocked second hand one cost £50 problem solved

Outlet pipe seems fine. I found some fresh oil on the bottom of the turbo so im not sure if its related to this:

Im currently trying to actually find the damn hose to check if its loose!

OK problem tracked down to a split vaccum pipe near the brake cylinder. Seems to run very smoothly now!

I think the oil on the turbo is coming from a minor leak coming from the rocket gasket above...
