in that case are you getting a spark?

whip an HT lead out, and put a spark plug on the end & rest it on something earthed and see if it sparks when you turn it over

Could be the coil pack. Drove 200 miles from Stoke, went out next day 5 miles and it stopped.

Telford ay it...
Coils bolted to the bulk head, follow the lead from the top of you dizzy cap and you will find ;)

Think the test m0rk explained is what you want to do..........but you may find a spark and its still faulty as I found.

hi guys iv had the car working good now after changing the starter plugs and leads and rotor arm, the only thing is now, whenever i slow down, or the revs drop, the car goes to stall all of the time and sometimes will, has anyone any ideas what might be the problem, its really annoying, Thanks

the car now runs good most of the time, the only thing is every now and again the car will just cut out when driving along, it wont start for a few minutes then will? iv checked for broken / perished vacum hoses and they are all fine, would this be the ignition coil, iv done the spark test and they all spark but do they have to spark all the time when the car is running?. most garages want at least 50 pound just to look at it, and know it should be somethin simple but its really annoying as i love the car but it does it in the most busy embarrising places lol:help:.

clean the throttle body! these gunk up really badly and will cause a load of running/idling problems. mine used to stall all the time and idle rough until i cleaned it. take it off and give it a good clean out!:)
