ibiza fr tdi cutting out problem

Hi there, I am fairly new to this forum I just thought I would pop up a question and try get some help to what seems like my car is never getting sorted.

I have myself a Seat ibiza 1.9tdi FR. Just over a week ago I fitted myself some HID bulbs and ballasts to my car and everything seemed fine. A couple of hours later when I went to start my car the glow plug light came on my dashboard as well as engine management light and power steering too. The car hesitated to start but did eventually. However it kept cutting out. I got it to a garage and they are having no luck fixing it either.

So far they have replaced the EGR valve with a new one and today a new camshaft sensor. Neither of these have fixed the car as apparently there is still something wrong with it. It seems to run better but still proceeds to cut out every now and again. I have now found myself paying for both these new parts as well as labour etc but I still have a faulty car sat there like when I gave it to them.

I would be very grateful if someone could come up with some idea's to what it may be so I could suggest to my mechanic as they have ran out of ideas and so have I.

Have they done a scan? If so ask them to show you and report it on here. Seems random to replace EGR then camshaft sensor...what next?

Just been back to the garage myself and they told me that the only codes that were coming up were the egr and camshaft sensor. So they replaced both for some reason, the codes have gone but there is still a problem and now I assume I will be left with the bill of both of these as theres no way of me proving that neither of the sensors done any good to fix my car.

They are now saying that they are waiting for a wiring diagram and something to do with some vaccum lines, he briefly explained some black box in the top left hand corner with hoses coming away from it? He thinks it could be that. I have no idea about these sort of things.

Where can I get this wiring diagram from as apparently he is struggling sourcing it from Seat, thanks.

Any help would be very grateful!

Depends on what diagram he needs. Does he mean the vacuum lines or the actual wiring from the loom.

Sounds like alt or battery sence wire has broken
