Must admit all the comments above are sort of putting me off getting my cupra tdi re-mapped!!! - is it really worth it considering all the problems it seems to cause ie clutch slip and vibrations???

DESPITE my problems, it's the first thing I would do when tuning a car...it really does make a huge difference. You won't be disapointed!!

I know this is an old thread but...

Am I being stupid??

It's a diesel, why should you not accelerate from 2k??
That's where the power is located.
I do and mine is fine, not like on/off hard driving accelerating.
I have a mediocre map, nothing silly BHP or Torque wise, get no judders, shudders or anything, only gearknob area rattles in 3rd telling me i'm in too higher gear for the speed i'm doing.

ok not had time to read the whole post, but our std ibiza fr had similar noise problem.

It turned out to be the intercooler pipe knocking on the fule filter or something.

Was fixed by a small foam pad.

Spoke to 2 dealers and both said never done a dmf on Ibiza, but loads on althambras and a few leons.

Hope this helps,
