mate try finding a local mapped ride on here you can drive against. that would be a good gauge on your new map. if youve equal power then the bikes spoilt you.

if youve a spare 4-6k you could get a bigger turbo.... you will need a doctor if you cant tell much difference then!

my car is very different on poor fuel ... less urgency about it. as others have said 1.8ts need 98ron minimum (im sure ive read that on my lcs petrol cap). mike who does the maps at jabbasport made a point to me about using optimax for the maps. so i rekon it could be the problem

did they dyno your car before and after? be intresting to know what figures you got torque/bhp wise?

Thanks Phil, i do understand what you are saying and appreciate the advice.

I don't think my expectations were too high (i.e expecting Ferrari gains!!). :wtf:

I simply feel that when forking out £580 on a remap, reading all the benefits and other peoples experiences, how could i possibly have low expectations!!!???

If that was the case i would never spend the £580 quid!!!!

I just felt that although the gains are there, they didn't have as much impact as i'd imagined.

I now realise and having listened to advice, that i've obviously not maximised the full potential of the software by opting to run on standard fuel rather then 98ron etc.

Maybe it is the bike Steve, i hope not and even if so i should still be able to feel how quick a car is.

I'm looking at traumapats stats and like the look of his 320bhp but that is way out of my league financially as i deffinately not got a spare 4-6k!!!

I'm pretty sure the car and the map are working fine just as i said i haven't maximised the software.

Looks like i'll be running on the good stuff from now on then
