Hello All,

After 3-4 years i have finally done it. I bought a leon cupra R and i have to say she is really nice glad i bought one. Only problems are listed below if you guys could have a look and tell me what you think.

Rear wiper doesnt move nor does the washer work sounds like it is trying but nothing happens.
There is a knocking noise from so i can tell the left but dont quote me on it more when you are turning
There is a slit ticking noise when she is idling
Also i drove it home from which was an 80 mile trip and i only managed to get 32MPG on the trip computer is this normal and was drive at 70MPH.

Apart from all this it just requires the normal stuff needs a full service 2 new front tires pads in a few thousand and needs some spraying to the body she is yellow lol does anyone know a good low price sprayer in the oxfordshire area?

Thanks guys

Nick

Wiper motor is probably seized/knackered, and the hose for the washer is most likely off.
The whole suspension clunks. Need to have a look at it really
Ticking is possibly the charcoal canister, black box, drivers side of the bay. Normal for it to tick
32mpg is about right for sitting at 70mph

I bought my lcr just over a week ago and I got 37mpg on the trip home doing 70-80mph apart from the 50mph bit on the m25 which helped a bit. I get 32mpg in my 13 trip to work 10 of which are on motorway.
Mine got a clunk too which I'm get to find out what's causing it.

30 - 32 mpg seems about right although I've only had my LCR a couple of weeks.

Seems good to me but then previous cars have been V6 twin turbo mitsubishi Galant (18 mpg).
Modified Scooby 22 mpg at best.:D

Mine is standard apart from a sports panel air filter and updated dump valve. I got 32 again. Coming home from work and so your car may be running fine maybe I was just lucky to get 37. I'm going for a trip this weekend so it will be interesting to see what I get this time on a run.

On a short trip to work which is 5 miles max i get 32 lol better than stuck at 70 on th motorway :p

Yeah but if you worry about that you'll never drive it how it deserves, I don't rag it everywhere I just know if I wanted good mpg I'd buy another more economical car, or take my tdi caddy, if you don't drive these cars on the limit with the back stepping out and engine singing your frankly missing out, but I agree if you must fill up the boot with kinky outfits, sex toys and strawberries and embark on a dirty weekend away with the bit of **** at least you'll have enough change for slap up meal to really get her pants fizzing ;) lol sorry....

When I was going to get my exhaust fitted in Sheffield, I filled up and did 360 miles in total there and back to Cheshunt. When I got back I still had half tank in the car. I basically did 360 miles on half a tank. How I did it? Driving at 60mph like a grandma. Its unbelivable how less the car spends sitting on 2K revs doing 60mph.
