When fitting my wheels back on recently I noticed that one thread in my hub is basically fubar and only just grips the bolt.

I can get the front hubs from euro car parts but not 100% on how to fit them or if I can do them in my garage at home with standard tools.

Any adive/ help would be great :)

Off the top of my head.

First of all remove the driveshaft bolt, quite a big nut so make sure you have the right socket. It's best to do this with the car on the ground and a long bar, there seriously tight!

Then remove wheel etc.

You will need to remove the brake caliper and disc. Two bolts around the back hold it to the hub, remove the crosshead screws from the centre of the disc, don't worry if they snap, quite common for them to snap.

Remove 2 19mm strut bolts.

Remove the 3 13mm bolts underneath that bolt it to the wishbone and that's it.

Elliot is correct, but that will remove the whole hub assembly.

If its just the hub you want to replace, you will need to do the above & then take the hub assembly to a garage/workshop for the actual hub to be taken out (they are pressed in with the wheel bearing)
Will probably be an idea to replace the wheel bearing at the same time.

18mm bolts for strut and also trackrod end and also there's another bolt that holds the bottom ball joint in if you are going to replace the hub assembly with another one. The bolt goes through behind the hub. Sorry but I'm anal and had to put in my 2p's worth.:)

Im pretty sure these come as a whole unit (From ECP) with wheel bearing in them - so should be a straight swap, no need for having the bearing ripped out?

Cheers for all the input guys!

What im looking to replace is the following...

Part wheel bolts onto and wheel bearing

Now i'm guessing the bearing presses into the wheel hub plate and then the massive drive shaft nut keeps this all on?

Not looking to replace the whole hub assembly I don't think.

The rears come as an assembled piece as the bearing is actually part of the hub

The front bearings are pressed into the back of the steering knuckle though

I replaced mine recently and just took the steering knuckle off (hub still attached) and dropped it off at the garage and they did the press out press in job

Example of mine
