hmm, well using orange with pressure should have done something, as long as you shook the bottle

Might have to re do it then, but if i do i don’t want it to turn out like that again!
On the plus side ive never seen my car so shinny! The paint was not that good when it came out of the factory! Looks like someone has spilt liquid glass on the top!

well, you could try 4" sfx pads ?, did you buy any, there only about $6, but you need to buy the smaller backing plate (aprox $12) these will cut more because of the less surface area, if you used #83 on these i think you will find they will work more effectively, you could also use SSR2.5 (thought to be more aggresive than 83), then move to ssr3 if that didnt work, but i still think the 4" pads are a good idea, i took a deep scratch out of my old 182 using the 4" pads.
some paints like different polishes, and i find that the seat paint is quite hard compared to other paints

megs scratch x ist that harsh, tbh 83 is more aggresive, but it will remove the swirls, you need to work it, i used some on my 4" pads on marks, and it worked well

also it may be worth ordering yourself, as if you use my code it only comes to $44, which is about £25 for the 3 pads and the backing plate, you can pick up some other little bits too, and save yourself a bit more cash

Hi, still an excellent thread, very helpful......

does anyone know what`s the best for removing slight/medium scratches ( poxy country roads and hedges ) and swirl marks at the same time. Car is metalic black so needs to be able to be used on that as well.......

Going to be doing it by hand, or is it best to look for someone who can do it with a machine for me ?

Ta :) :)

A cleaner wax is worth a go, something like Poorboy's polish with carnuba or Clearkote Moose Wax - both clean the paint and get rid of minor marks as well as adding some protection. Both can be used in direct sunlight too.

I recently tried Poorboy's polish with carnuba and EX sealant on top in the hot sun and they gave very good results, easy to apply and buff off too.

If anyone is interested, I'm selling my Klasse all-in-one and sealant glaze, both cost me £40 from Serious Performance, only used a *tiny* amount of the AIO, selling for £30 including P+P. I prefer the Poorboy's products so sticking with them.

I'll put an ad up in the for sale section.

Altogether I have the following:

1x Klasse AIO - £15

1x Klasse SG - £15

3x Sonus Acrylic Spritz - £5 ea.

2x Sonus Acrylic Glanz - £5 ea.

I will do a deal if someone wants to buy it all - £45 for the lot. Remember Sonus is imported from the USA and is formulated to work with the Klasse products.

PM or email me if you're interested. [email protected]
