I have now decided that my gage is faulty. or at least that is what i'm going to tell myself... Now way can i be bothered to take it to a garage, fork out a load of money for them to come back and say my car is fine...

in terms of calculation, i dun think we get less mpg..... i fill up about 35ltrs, and i get 350-360 miles out of it. but just no idea y fuel light come on so quick with trip computer telling me i only got 50 miles left

I get 435 miles before the red light comes on in mine.

I've had it up to 450-460 with some motorway mileage involved.

Mine is really bad, i put £10 in and red light was back after 45 miles (town driving)

It seems to be improving! I put £20 in when the light came up and have got 105 miles with quarter of a tank still to burn, is that OK for a 1.2?

you must have a smaller tank installed in the car, have you tried venting it to see if you can squeeze any more in??

how do i do that? :D

at first i was worry about my fuel economy, but i calculated i usually get around 52mpg...driving town and few miles of A roads which is gd imo

when you unscrew the cap on the right hand side you'll see a little black nipple, push that down with the nozzle whilst filling and hey presto, one vented tank. Be careful not to overfill. It works a treat, when i filled uptoday i managed to squeeze 54 litres into it :D

Looks like you and me get the same results mate.

I'm also hoping I have a smaller fuel tank, as that would explain the frankly piss poor mileage we get.

I did try venting, but think I only managed to get £40 worth of fluid in her
