Lads,

there is so much talk about running in a new car (which i never do listen too) that you need to take it steady for the first 1000miles etc.....

Main question - if i collect a new car with delivery mileage and drive straight to the Revo garage is it feasible to have the remap? eager i know but......

im in IT so have no idea on engines.

Thoughts?

I would say be patient.... you could have no problems at all, but would be a gamble...

Also I wouldnt have thought any decent garage would touch a car with only delivery mileage would they?

I also have no idea about engines but there is also the fact that unless you drive the new car for a while you would not fully appreciate the remap anyway....

Why not drive your car on untill you get bored of the power and then remap it?

I have done 30k on mine now, and only getting round to getting it done.

Also - be weary of getting a car remapped from new, what if theres a problem with the car before you get it. Alteast if you drive it for a bit first to can make sure that everything is sound.

I would wait untill a car has 10k on it before remapping.

I did about 5.5K before I got mines remapped. Wanted to make sure that the car was well run in before putting the remap on and like people have said wait until you get used to the power of the new car before you do it.

And give a chance for as many warranty niggles as possible to come out of the woodwork before you go for the remap.

I would say enjoy your car first , and then when you start getting used to the power then get it mapped.

my cars on 8.9k and coming up to a year old and i'm still enjoying my Std S3 , but the craving for a " little " more power is starting to call.

I Would say first upgrade your Suspension for better ones..!! Cupras OEM suspension is quite good but not for heavy racing... Actually I'm having before somekind of "Wheel Hop" and now after placed new suspension => nothing... Grip is amazing and with OEM powerlevels no Wheel Spinning or "hopping"... Thats good !! Upgraded powerlevels could needed example engine and gearbox mounts and LSD....

Remember power is nothing without Control !! When you getting full control you need more power and and... :)

OEM Cupra is actually only Compromise for Race Driving !! Its as fast as New Audi S3 on Track but it could be better... Better handling, stronger engine and lots of more faster with modifications.... with few mods different car and with lots of mods "SuperCar" :)
