I'd say apr pump is the way to go. Pretty sure if you send them your original pump they charge £500.
Other than that there is some brand new auto tech internals for sale on the mk5gti forum for £290 delivered.

You can only take a Cupra/Cupra R to stage2 without a HPFP

You need the HPFP to do Stage2+

What kind of power gains would you expect from an apr pump??

The pump alone will give no gain at all as you need all the supporting mods for stage 2+. TBE, CAI, Uprated cooler, HPFP and Remap. May as well change the cam follower at the same time you do the pump to be safe.

Cooler might help a bit on hot days but won't be nescesary for stage 2+. if I can help someone out, my car has just gone and I've got a brand new sealed oem Hpfp, forge twintake, boost gauge (with carbon beezel) and Forge catch can laying around.

huh I saw a thread on here from someone saying he'd got a better fuel pump for his and that it made a real noticeable difference. I'm sure he was only at stage 1 remap

I just had my cupra mapped to 285 bhp, with 76mm milltek turbo back system. I thought about a different fuel pump coz when i first start the car, the revs are all over the place, it sometimes holds back and the exhaust sometimes pops like mad when slowing down. Didn't know if a pump would make a difference? She spins like a tw*t in third gear now

Yeh that was me but im running Stage1+ map (Basically a Stage1 map with extra to take into account the HPFP)

APR Said the jump between Stage1 and Stage1+ will be bigger than Stage1-Stage2

Who mapped it? how do you know its 285? Most stage 1 maps will put 300+ and youve got a Turbo back system so should be running stage2. My LCR has always run like that on start, Little bit lumpy for a few seconds

When I was running stage 1 my car used to hunt a little when cold but since its been stage 2 it idles as smooth when cold as it does when warm.

Alan Jeffery in Plymouth. I got a dyno print, it was doing those sort of things before it was mapped too. That was 1 reason I had it mapped, thought it may of helped

if its only putting out 285 with a map that should be to stage 2 level then i would ask for my money back

Stage1 from the big boys gets more than that

I didn't pay for it, the dealer did. It had the milltek on it when i got it and was running crap. They didn't want to put a standard pipe on at £1700, so they sent it to Plymouth to get it mapped
