Hello guys

Sometimes the car runs on 1000 idle rpm instead of 850.

As you can see from the video the car is on working temperature.

So this is not happening all the times, since last 10 months its happened 4-5 times.

And after I restart the engine the car is idling normal...

Is this any problem or???

Maybe is the fuel quality problem or someting related to the fuel because I ve been investigating when this is happening and I concluded that when the fuel tank goes around 2 dots or range below 120 kms this is happening.

Maybe is coincidence but who knows.

What do you think?

Don't turn it off whilst it's doing a regen or it will never complete and the dpf will become clogged/full. Rev it gently for a few minutes when your parked, touch the accelerator pedal and if the revs drop to normal then turn the car off.

The light will only come on if the regen fails to complete about 3-4 times in a row!

There really is no need to do as you are suggesting when its doing a regen! the regen will restart again when you next go for a drive and it starts to reach temperature

There is a lot of miss information out there regarding DPF regens and there is really no need to do anything different except if you know you haven't completed a regen about 3 times in a row then maybe take it for a little drive to allow it to complete ther is no need to drive in high gears or drive it like you stole it either like a lot of other people recommend

In 4 years of owning my tdi I have had the light on once and ironically I posted on here the day before saying I had never seen it on! but I had done lots of stop starts with journeys of a mile or less in a week period and each time it was trying to do a regen! I just took it for a drive up the road for about 6 miles and all was done
