Help!! seat (chair) pull handle came off!

Hi all---I just picked up my brand new Ibiza cupra last weekend... unfortunately today while i was trying to access the back passenger seats I pulled the handle and it came flying off! was shocked at first and tried fixing it but it's too dark at night and i couldn't see clearly whether it's snapped or will it fit back into the slot!

has anyone had a similar problem before??? can't believe the "ear" has already come off............................

i think it's post to do that. my old polo was like that.... but i guess you need some glue..

get it back to the dealer? is it something they can fix straight away?

WOn't have to drop the car in for a day would i?

OMG!!!! you can easily fix it yourself! it should just slot back in... if it keeps doing it just add some glue on it.... i told my vw dealer to fix it but they didn't fix it because they say it's normal......

Its not normal at all.

There is a small metal clip that goes inside the handle, needs a new clip.

my mrs broke mine off a few weeks ago
well it came off as she got out but she sweares she didnt touch it.... anyway
it just cliped back on nothing was broken. altho it was kind of akwad to get back on!

Anything at all like that i would leave to the dealers because if you try and get it back in and cause more trouble your dealer probably wont touch it and you will be left to foot the bill yourself.

As techie said it isnt supposed to come off. let them deal with it thats what they get paid to do (no offense techie haha)

thanks guys took it to the dealer today and it's exactly what techie said-the clip is broken and went into the hollow part of the handle! so new clip needed....parts ordered for tmr now cheers
