Hi guy's this is my first time on the site!!!!!!!
I've got problems with the heater blower in my Seat Toledo mk2 1.8 20v.
The full climate control pannel seems to work and temprature controls seem to work fine but it doesn't want to blow!!!!!!!
I've stripped out the centre consol but can't find a power supply to the fan.

Can anyone help??????

Cheers

Check fuses? (not meaning to insult your intelligence but it's something a lot of people seem to overlook).

I would also suggest checking for loose or dirty connections too.

I'm not sure how Seat fan motors compare, but on Peugeots the most common heater problem is a resistor on the fan motor itself.

Hi mate,

The heater blower is behind the glovebox. To get to it, you have to take the screws out along the inside top edge of the glovebox, there's also a couple of screws under the glovebox, and a few behind the black panel on the side of the dash (It just pops off).

It might be worth taking out the pollen filter and making sure there's nothing stuck in the fan etc. If you look in the top right of your engine bay, there's a panel with 2 screws which comes off (It's got a huge piece of rubber on the back of it, so You have to pull it quite hard). You can then unclip the filter and see if there's something stuck in the fan etc.

Hope this helps

p.s. Make sure you put the rubber part back in properly (It has 'wings' which should fit down each side of the filter cage). If you don't, it will leak when it rains, mine used to do it after SEAT serviced it . Common problem with these cars.

i have had problems with my heater!
i changed the plug that goes to the heater for spade i have soldered them as well
as i thought the connection was being made bad due to the current going through
the problem i have found is the bushes on the fan.
you need to take the glove box off which has all ready been exspalined
once off you need to take the cover off under the fan there are 2 srews under the foam soundproofing once these srews are undun you can slide the fan out.
a screw hold the motor in the plastic cover once undune the motor comes out!
check the the cable that connects to the bushes mine was cought
this is due to the amount of were that has ocured to the bushes

My car is doing this at the moment i think it is an air lock but not had time to solve it. To check enter the secret mode on the climate control by pressing recirculate and the up arrow at the same time. a 1c should appear then using the temp control buttons scroll up till you reach the engine coolent code ( i think it is 56 or 52 a search on the threads under secret climatronic functions will find it) if this value is not much above ambient temp then the fan will not activate under Auto control. The value should be around 90 degrees when the enginr is warm.

As soon as mine goes above 30ish the fan starts to come on. At the moment it only does this when i am turning left. so pretty sure it is an air lock.

Hope tis helps. To exit the secret mode just press auto.

Forgot to say once you have scrolled to 56c or 52c you have to press recirculate again to display the value
