Just brought cupra r on a 03 plate and realised i cant live without the tunes on my ipod, so searchin on the old net i found Alpine CDE9850Ri, so brought that, it got delivered and realised that head unit narrower then old standard aura, any ideas on gettin blankin plate as cant seem to find any for the 03 leon

If it`s the same as my `02 LC, the trim on the front of the changer, slightly darker than the rest of the moulded glovebox will just pull off with a little bit of persuasion. Then there are 2 screws that need to be unscrewed from the fixing brackets and then voila, hole in the glovebox!!![B)]

Yeah, its pretty straight foreward once you've got the fascia out.

I think its one screw either side holding the changer in place, be careful not to pull it out too hard though, or you might damage the wiring.

then just fit the insert back in its place and you have a useable (if a little small) glovebox space.

There wasn`t any insert for me to put back in:(

I`ve had a hole in the glove box since christmas. Must order the insert from my dealer!! (about £15 I think), and put the new changer in.
