well good day sunay come home then set off to wakey cruse got to junction 28 and my head gaskets gone gutted so now its engine out once again

Eek! You have to take the engine out? That's very worrying!

Every other head gasket I've done is done leaving the block still in the car, may I ask what prevents you from doing the same? Any guesses why it failed?

Fingers crossed I never have to do it on my V5, but I suspect the same reason may apply there...

how do you know the head gasket has gone??

My old Nova pumped out huge plumes of steam when its gasket went, that was terminal and I got £30 cash for the car. My old Astra failed between cylinders, so it was just a bit reluctant to run properly. Easy to fix.

i thought cause i did chains and there at back gear box side i would after take lump out but iv got head off now thanks for the info lads ill put pic pic up off gasket later after work it blow between a pot and water way back on raod for next wakey cruse
